- Il pacchetto di bandi Horizon 2020 per lo European Green Deal
La Commissione Europea, nell’ambito del programma Horizon 2020, ha pubblicato una serie di 11 calls for proposals dedicata all’implementazione degli obiettivi dello European Green Deal, la strategia dell’Europea per l’ambiente ed il clima.
Tre tipologie di progetti verranno finanziate:
- progetti pilota, dimostrativi e di innovazione di prodotto;
- progetti dedicata a sviluppare l’innovazione per una migliore governance della transizione verde e digitale;
- progetti di innovazione sociale e catena del valore.
In particolare, quest’ultima tipologia introduce un elemento innovativo nell’ambito delle call di Horizon 2020 enfatizzando l’importanza della sperimentazione di nuove modalità di coinvolgimento dei cittadini, facendo leva sulla partecipazione della società civile e dell’empowerment dei cittadini.
Il pacchetto di calls si articola in 10 aree: 8 aree tematiche e 2 orizzontali.
Call area 1: Increasing climate ambition: cross-sectoral challenges
3 topics: Preventing and fighting extreme wildfires with the integration and demonstration of innovative means; Towards climate-neutral and socially innovative cities; Climate-resilient innovation packages for EU regions
Call area 2: Clean, affordable and secure energy
3 topics: Demonstration of innovative critical technologies to enable future large-scale deployment of offshore renewable energy technologies (with the possibility to address also hydrogen applications); Develop and demonstrate a 100 MW electrolyser upscaling the link between renewables and industrial applications; Accelerating demonstration of clean energy solutions in Africa and the Mediterranean
Call area 3: Industry for a clean and circular economy
2 topics: Closing the industrial carbon cycle to combat climate change; Demonstration of systemic solutions for the territorial deployment of the circular economy
Call area 4: Energy and resource-efficient buildings
1 topic: Building and renovating in an energy and resource efficient way
Call area 5: Sustainable and smart mobility
1 topic: Green airports and ports as hubs for sustainable and smart mobility
Call area 6: Farm to Fork
1 topic: Testing and demonstrating systemic innovations for sustainable food from farm to fork
Call area 7: Restoring biodiversity and ecosystem services
1 topic: Restoring biodiversity and ecosystem services
Call area 8: Zero-pollution, toxic-free environment
2 topics: Innovative, systemic zero-pollution solutions to protect health, environment and natural resources from persistent and mobile chemicals; Fostering regulatory science to address chemical and pharmaceutical mixtures: from science to evidence-based policies
Horizontal 1: Strengthening our knowledge in support of the European Green Deal
3 topics: European Research Infrastructures capacities and services to address European Green Deal challenges; Developing end-user products and services for all stakeholders and citizens supporting climate adaptation and mitigation; A transparent and accessible ocean Towards a Digital Twin of the Ocean
Horizontal 10: Empowering citizens for transition towards a climate neutral, sustainable Europe
3 topics: European capacities for citizen deliberation and participation for the Green Deal; Behavioural, social and cultural change for the Green Deal; Enabling citizens to act on climate change and environmental protection through education, citizen science, observation initiatives, and civic involvement
Budget: allocazione complessiva di circa 1 miliardo di euro
Deadline: il termine per presentare le proposte sarà il 26 gennaio 2021.
